Robert Tillich is a pseudonym of a well-known Anglo-American journalist. Tillich was born into a military family and spent much of his formative life travelling in Eritrea, Singapore, Japan and Canada.
He attended Cambridge University, having been educated at a bewildering array of schools. After university, he studied law before switching to economics, and worked a while at a well-known bank in Tokyo, using his language skills, playing piano in bars in the evening to top up his income. In time, he found his vocation as a writer and fits what he thinks of as his ‘real writing’ in around a busy journalism career.
This is his debut novel.
